In their new music video for “No Destruction,” Foxygen invites everyone to waltz right into what feels like a long day spent by the bay. Frontman Sam France and fellow band member Jonathan Rado have punctured the video’s scenes of France lollygagging around a western film set with snippets of old film footage the two shot while in high school and college. The video was directed by the band’s longtime friend Bryan Felber, who also had in on shooting some of the archived footage with France and Rado.
The video is warm and sentimental—like a loopy deleted scene from Todd Haynes’ Dlyan-as-grand-unifying-cultural-myth movie I’m Not There. It’s also a good show of why you maybe shouldn’t destroy all those old Youtube videos you and your friends made. Watch it below.
