Barely recovering from the success of last year’s Metals LP, Leslie Feist‘s life is about to get busy again. The incumbent Canadian minister of crossover folk just announced four months of tour dates, including U.S. festivals (Coachella, Sasquatch, Pitchfork, Bonnaroo) and cities across North America and Europe. Feist will spend the majority of her dates with swampy Canadian rock outfit Timber Timbre and the Rhode Island folkies of Low Anthem, but West Coasters can look forward to select sets with Bon Iver in Tucson, AZ, and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. Full tour dates are listed below.
If you want to love Feist but can’t get behind the severe lack of bloodshed at most of her shows, then get ready to headbang to her upcoming split single with Mastodon. On Record Store Day (4/21) Feist will cover “Black Tongue” from Mastodon’s The Hunter, and the masters of Melvillian metal will cover Feist’s “A Commotion,” presumably doing cacophonous justice to the title. In preparation for the glorious birth of Feistodon, watch Feist rock out to “Sea Lion Woman” here:
