Scottish pop-rocker Edwyn Collins will be stopping by the US for a number of New York and SXSW shows this March. This will follow the March 8 US release of his most recent LP, Losing Sleep (Heavenly Recordings/Cooperative Music USA/Downtown Records). The album has been out since September in Europe and has been receiving an enormous amount of positive attention, including making it into British music mag Mojo’s list of the top five albums of 2010.



Collins, the legendary singer from Orange Juice, hasn’t been to the United States to perform since 2003, when he embarked on an acoustic tour. Sadly, he suffered from multiple brain hemorrhages in 2005 and his career was put on what could have ended up being a permanent hiatus. After a long and remarkable recovery, Collins has returned with his new album. He even told Metro UK
that despite the fact that he slurs his speech now, he believes that his singing is better than ever. Tour dates as well as the video for “Do It Again,” taken off Losing Sleep, are below.
