As long as Philadelphia rock band Dr. Dog is pounding the pavement, good ol’ American rock ‘n’ roll still lives. Starting August 30, the band will hit the road with indie-rock heavyweight Bright Eyes for a North American tour that will take Dr. Dog to states across the Northeast, Midwest and South. If the band’s new tour video, found below, is any indication, a Dr. Dog tour looks something like Almost Famous, with long hair and guitars and jamming and scenic stretches of American highway.

Right now, Dr. Dog is in its home studio in Philadelphia, PA, recording its sixth album, which will hit shelves in 2012.
