Summer soundtrack band Real Estate has signed to Domino in anticipation of its sophomore album, which is set to be released in October. No word yet on the record’s title or anything like that, but you can expect Real Estate to expand on the laid-back, breezy surf-pop sound that made listeners long for warmer months when the band’s debut was released in November 2009. Domino says more news on the sophomore release is on the way.

In addition to Real Estate’s output, Domino also plans to release further material from the members’ other projects, namely the solo work of bassist Alex Bleeker and guitarist Matthew Mondanile (Alex Bleeker And The Freaks and Ducktails, respectively). In the meantime, Real Estate is set to hit the road for a North American tour that runs through most of July and includes dates at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Bandshell and the Woodsist Festival in California.
