Recently de-crazied major-label indie band the Decemberists announced a second slew of US tour dates, in support of their recently-released LP The King Is Dead. The Portland band will head off to Europe for a few weeks in March before returning to cap off the tour.

The Decemberists had a remarkably good year, being featured on culturally-relevant Nickelodeon show Yo Gabba Gabba and The King Is Dead hitting No. 1 on both the CMJ and Billboard charts. The album is the band’s sixth LP, and contains no overarching humanist narrative or story arc to speak of, which should, as usual, delight some and frustrate others.
