The massively popular rodential electronic artist Deadmau5 is going on a pretty substantial North American tour this summer and fall, hitting up big venues in support of his upcoming live DVD, Live At Earl’s Court. The tour starts at Lollapalooza, where the electro-y, house-y producer (who’s basically like the U2 of electronic music on this continent) also known as Joel Zimmerman is headlining a set alongside Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse and Eminem. His royal Mau5ness is also performing at San Francisco’s Outside Lands fest, alongside Muse, Phish, Arcade Fire and the Black Keys. (Incidentally, 2011 is turning out to be a pretty good year for festivals.)

The Mau5 has been quite busy of late, guest-starring in a viral video (warning: not safe for vegetarians), designing a Deadmau5 iPad app and preparing a remix of “Raise Your Weapon.” Live At Earl’s Court comes out July 5, via Ultra. Catch him at your local mid-sized arena or large-scale music festival, wearing his glowing oversized mouse head and bobbing in front of a laptop (or several).
