Detroit rapper Danny Brown has signed to Fool’s Gold, the label run by A-Trak and friend Nick Catchdubs. Brown has been featured on albums such as Black Milk’s Album Of The Year (not actually album of the year, but it was still quite good) and J Dilla’s posthumous Jay Stay Paid.

Fool’s Gold has signed artists like Kid Cudi, Lil B, and Chromeo. As Brown said, “Fool’s Gold has the bitches.” Brown released The Hybrid earlier this year, with singles like “D!*k Suck,” which spotlighted his singsongy, springy delivery.

Additionally, Brown will be featured in Fool’s Gold’s showcases at SXSW on Friday, as well as several other shows over the week.
