Often a good music video just takes a simple idea and executes it with surgical precision, but sometimes it’s a better idea to just grab a bunch of concepts, throw them against the wall and see what sticks. The new video for the track “Månelyst” from Meir, the upcoming full-length from Norwegian metal face-crushers Kvelertak, is one of those “throw everything against the wall” clips—and in this case the wall is covered in blood.

Let’s do a quick rundown of the horror cliches on display here: a Texas Chainsaw-style woman running down an empty street in a blood-stained outfit, some George Romero zombies lurching out of the ground, an Exorcist-jacking demonic possession girl and an American Werewolf In London-esque wolf transformation. And that’s all in the first two minutes. If watching a frantic and loving mash-up of beloved horror movie tropes is your idea of a good time on a Wednesday afternoon, then check out this video.
