Is your iTunes chaotically overflowing with more albums than you’ll ever be able to listen to, or meticulously organized by highly specific genres like heel-gaze, folk-haze and post-twee-part-deux? Do you get a tingly feeling in your throat right before a show starts like you might cry from joy? Do you have an opinion about Reflektor? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, or if you’re just a swell writer who’s interested in learning the ins and outs of music journalism, you should apply to be a CMJ editorial intern this spring semester!

A coffee mule, you won’t be. Your time spent in our Manhattan offices will be writing intensive and will give you the opportunity to cover the latest music news, attend live shows, review albums and even interview artists. Plus, you’ll get to talk about world affairs, Ikea and hemp milk with our awesome staff, and meet our plant, Menina. Check out the job listing here and send your resume, cover letter, three writing samples and your top five current artists to editorial@cmj.com before November 25. We should mention that we also love a good joke.
