In support of its January release, the Ponte Bomb digital EP, Colombian electro quartet Bomba Estéreo is set to tour in both North and South America this spring. The group begins its run at Lollapalooza in Chile, then continues with North America dates.

After touring across Europe last year and making a stop at Bonnaroo, Bomba Estéreo prepped the release of its 2011 EP, which includes a cover of Technotronic’s “Pump Up The Jam.” A collection of remixes was also released that included some of the group’s biggest hits such as “Fuego” and “La Boquilla.

Bomba Estéreo started as the project of visual artist/musician Simón Mejía, who now plays bass and acts as both the programmer and band director of the group. The additional members—Li Saumet (vocals), Kike Egurrola (drums) and Julián Salazar (guitar)—were added in 2005.

The spring tour runs from early April to mid-May and includes a date at Coachella.
