When producing Blood Orange’s video for “Champagne Coast,” director Haley Wollens decided to Photoshop seven dancing girls into seven different collaged rooms. According to Wollens in an interview with The New York Times, he said that he was inspired by “Second Life YouTubes and video games, like Duke Nukem.” The result is video that feels nearly as ’90s as A Tribe Called Quest’s “Scenario”.

In the video, Blood Orange vocalist Devonté Hynes shows up on a computer, a television set and lurking creepily in the background while the girl in the room dances. Check it out above.
