Baaba Maal, musical sensation and youth emissary for the United Nations’ Development Program, is set to embark on a U.S. tour where he will discuss his experiences growing up in Africa, his views on the issues now plaguing Africa and other relevant subjects of the day. Accompanied by instrumentalist Jim Palmer and percussionist Mamadou Sarr, he will also perform some of his world-renowned songs. The entire experience will be moderated by author and music journalist Chris Salewicz.
