The cover art, tracklist and a video teaser for Andrew Bird’s much-anticipated 12th LP, Break It Yourself, have been released.

Break It Yourself, due on March 6 on Mom + Pop, was produced by Bird himself and was recorded at his barn in Illinois. Break It Yourself is the follow-up to Bird’s 2009 highly acclaimed LP, Noble Beast, and according to Bird, it includes some wild soloing.

The announcement of the tracklist (see below) also came with the very special surprise of a video teaser featuring Bird as he learns and records one of the songs off of Break It Yourself.

Bird, who picked up his first violin at the age of four, started his recording career in 1997 and has not stopped working since, managing to become a film score composer, multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and museum artist.

In support of Break It Yourself, Bird will set out on a North American tour in March. Concert ticket buyers will be rewarded with a few gifts as all concert tickets are bundled with a redemption code to download Break It Yourself and of Fake Conversations, a live EP from Bird’s 2011 fall tour, and a second EP from the upcoming 2012 tour. The tour will also feature appearances on select dates by Eugene Mirman, Laura Marling, Patrick Watson, Tift Merritt and Mucca Pazza.
