Story by Keyana Stevens

Adele, the British soul songstress bursting with blues-inspired tunes, is planning a 40-day North American tour this summer in support of her new album, 21. Unlike the bluesy tone of her first album, 21 features the sounds of classic American country and roots music. Named for her 21st birthday, it represents the growth she’s experienced over the past two years. 21 comes out on February 22 in the United States on Columbia.

After being plucked from relative obscurity in South London to release her debut album, 19, Adele went on to win two Grammys in 2009 (Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance). As part of the promotion for the new album, her British record label XL is launching a feature called “21 Days of Adele,” which will showcase a new interview or behind-the-scenes video every day of February until the album drops. She’ll also perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on February 24.
