Maryland’s Abouretum has just announced its 2011 winter tour, celebrating the February 22 release of its new LP, The Gathering. After hitting the ground running in the band’s hometown of Baltimore, the quartet is headed immediately to California to share the stage with fellow indie rockers Endless Boogie and Eternal Tapestry for a complete takeover of the west coast.

The Gathering has received early support since the release of its debut single, “Destroying to Save,” this past December. The band’s guitar and vocalist, Dave Heumann, considers the album a reflection of Carl Jung’s inspirational pursuit in writing The Red Book—emotion that will certainly be felt on the record as well as in upcoming performances.
