Jack Hsu, Artist, Organizer, Funder / The Hsu-Nami, TKNY, Hello Taiwan, Passport to Taiwan Studied with paganini first prize winner & world class violinist Lu Siqing (呂思清) for 8 years. Jack an Electric Erhu (Chinese violin) musician, combined his musical influences from Classical, Chinese traditional to rock/metal and created his own brand of Erhu virtuosic style using different electric guitar effect pedals extensively during his performance to create a brand new generation of sounds.
Founder The Hsu-Nami international renowned Erhu fronted instrumental prog-rock band from the New York city. music was featured in the 2008 Summer Olympic in Beijing. The track “Rising of the sun” was the theme music representing the Chinese Basketball team entrance theme. With two independent releases, “Entering the Mandala” (2007), and “The Four Noble Truths” (2009) Hsu-Nami have tour extensively all over US, Canada as well in Asia.
Founder of TKNY (Tai-Ke New York) Organization brings together a group of young Taiwanese / Taiwanese-Americans with a shared interest in performance music.
Co-Founder of Hello Taiwan USA music series, which brings performances featuring famous Taiwanese or Taiwanese American musicians and bands to the United States.
