Chief Operating Officer
Ariel Taitz is Chief Operating Officer, ADA Worldwide, the independent music distribution arm of the Warner Music Group. Ari guides all aspects of the day-to-day operations and strategy in the U.S. and directly manages business affairs, finance and digital operations for ADA’s worldwide efforts. In addition, he works closely with the European ADA team to foster the expansion of ADA’s worldwide services.
Before joining ADA, Ari was Senior Vice President, Business Affairs and Development for Warner-Elektra-Atlantic Corp., the sales and distribution division of WMG from 2007 to 2012. In that position, Ari advised on business development strategy as well as managed a team to implement and execute business and legal affairs efforts, including for digital operations, digital sales, licensing and distribution.
Prior to that, Ari worked within the Business and Legal Affairs departments of Atlantic Records and then WMG’s corporate division. He joined Atlantic as Director in 2000 and was subsequently promoted to Senior Director and then Vice President in 2004, where he was primarily responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements with recording artists, labels, film and technology companies. He joined WMG’s corporate division in 2005 as Vice President and Assistant Counsel where he worked on a series of record label and distribution company acquisitions by WMG.
Before Atlantic, Ari was an associate at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis in the Transactional Intellectual Property department from 1998 to 2000. Ari graduated from the George Washington University Law School with Honors and served as Articles Editor for The George Washington Law Review. He received his B.A. degree with High Distinction from the University of Michigan and was the recipient of the Branstrom Prize for Academic Excellence.
