Lucas Mortimer, 28, is a multi-entrepenuer in the Brazilian music business. Founding member of the Pegada Collective, based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Lucas has produced hundreds of local events with more than 300 bands, including the Transborda, Grito Rock and Fora do Eixo festivals. Working with the Off-Axis Circuit, a network of culture collectives in Brazil, he helped many bands and producers to plan tours, produce festivals, distribute music, and so on. In the last 3 years, Lucas has worked in the Music Minas Program, a project to export the music from Minas Gerais, and participated in international events such as Womex (2009/11), CMJ (2010/11) and Feira Música Brasil (2009/10). Nowadays he coordinates the Interchange Program for the Music Minas Program and also collaborates with Pegada Collective in Belo Horizonte, reaching to expand the network of interchange of the music from Minas Gerais around the world.
