Music Department Coordinator
Joni Sadler has been involved with campus/community radio for a decade as both a volunteer and staff member at multiple stations across Canada. For five and a half years, she acted as the English Music Director at CHUO 89.1 FM in Ottawa and recently moved to Montreal to take the on the role of Music Department Coordinator at CKUT 90.3 FM. In addition to her work at a number of individual stations, her activity in community media extends more broadly through her position as a coordinator for the forthcoming Ontario Independent Music Archive. She holds a Master's degree in Communications from Carleton University with research focusing on Canadian experimental music and cultural policy. Over the past several years she has also worked for a record label, as a publicist, at an independent record store, and as a music writer. She plays drums in a noise rock band and is becoming increasingly accepting of others calling her musical tastes weird.
