Jazmine Valencia is currently Director, Digital Marketing at Island Def Jam Music Group overseeing many of the Island/Mercury acts including The Killers, Neon Trees, and The Wanted to name a few of her diverse superstar roster. In this position, she oversees all digital marketing, e-commerce, digital strategy and new brand integration partnerships. She began hercareer at UMG in 2007 as an intern in the Digital Marketing Department and has worked her way up, first to Manager and was recently promoted to Director.

Jazmine attended Florida Atlantic University (FAU) where she graduated in 2008 with a Masters of Science with Major in Music Business Administration, and where she served as President of FAU’s Hoot/Wisdom Recordings LLC, the University’s student run record label.

Earlier this year, Miss Valencia was a panelist at SXSW 2012 Branding & Bands- Right & wrong ways to do it. And in 2010, she spoke at CMJ's Livestream your tour - Broadcasting your live show on the Internet, this changes everything panel.

Jazmine knows exactly what career path makes her excited every morning. “I have always been a big believer in doing what you love, and I definitely love what I am doing now,” she said. "Music has always been my passion, so I might as well do something in it,” she said. “I am in it for the music. I love and appreciate music as much as any other fan.”

Jazmine’s exceptionally positive attitude pushes her to continue doing the work she loves. “I want to live my life as best as possible,” she said. “Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.”

In the meantime, Jazmine will enjoy her time spent hanging out with rock stars and adding to her already giant collection of drumsticks and guitar picks from famous musicians; and most importantly she will continue to expand the digital reach of her impressive artist roster at the Island Def Jam Music Group.
