Dante Ross is largely known for his contributions to the so called golden era of HipHop. He was an a and r person first at Tommy Boy records where he had a hand in the careers of De La Soul, Queen Latifah (who he discovered) and Digital Underground. Mr. Ross then went to work for Elektra records where he discovered such talent as Brand Nubian, Grand Puba, Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, K.M.D which featured a young pre metal face clad MF Doom and Leaders of The New School who featured a young Butsa Rhymes. Mr. Ross also signed Ol Dirty Bastard and served as executive producer on his first record Return To The 36 Chambers. Mr. Ross with his production partner John Gamble (The Stimulated Dummies aka SD50's)) also produced records for 3rd Bass, Del Tha Funky Homosapien and countless other groups he has signed. Ross also often served as executive producer on many of the bands records he signed to Elektra Records. Mr. Ross later went on to produce Everlast's multi platinum Whitey Ford sings the blues and it's gold follow up Eat At Whiteys ( Tommy Boy Records.)
Mr.Ross is a NY stalwart often identified with NYC's Lower East Side were he was raised though he is a native Californian. Mr.Ross also produced 2 songs on the 5 times platinum 8th mile record ( Time of My Life for Macy Grey and That’s my Ni##a for Real for Young Z) and well and producing a song on Carlos Santana's 1998 20 times platinum Supernatural for which he received a Grammy award for. Mr.Ross later on went to do A and R at Loud records where he has his own label Stimulated records and to discover David Banner for Steve Rifkinds SRC records. He is also a EMI songwriter.

Mr.Ross currently is the east coast director of A and R for Warner Brothers records where he has signed upcoming acts Phony Ppl and After The Smoke as well as former manager for Action Bronson. He currently manages several groups and producers under his stimulated management company. These include producers Harry Fraud, Burn1 and rappers Roc Marciano, Scotty ATL and the newly signed After The Smoke.

Ross has also embarked on a career as a blogger and considered an integral part of the NYC downtown cultural and artistic community for close to 20 years and a supporter of the fine arts as well as a collector of street and Graffiti art.
