The Windish Agency might have Lorde in their managerial mitts, but they proved at Mercury Lounge last night that they have a bunch of other intriguing acts in hand. With folks just straggling in, John Murry focused his set on a friend in the audience. The place finally filled up by the time Wilsen came on, covering a Grimes tune no less. It was perfect music for the breezy fall weather we’ve had during this year’s Marathon. Bad Suns had a fun, pure pop sound that had the youngest in the audience whooping for them. GEMS impressed with their sexy, space age torch songs. And Dan Croll got some smiles out of his warmly electro nerd-pop.
