Dismemberment Plan – Photo by Alix Piorun
Though it’s probably a little intimidating opening for clean-cut monotone-trash pioneers like the Dismemberment Plan
, Nashville’s Wild Cub
used their percussive, upbeat glossiness to win the crowd over completely as soon as they hit their first chord on Friday night. And if the DPlan felt at all rusty (given they just released their first studio album in a decade), they didn’t show it. As the band ripped through new and old tracks with finesse, they left the crowd feeling like they were at a reunion show where no time had actually passed.
