On Friday night, everyone in the Bowery Ballroom crammed together and jostled for the perfect view to catch ’80s monotone-punk trailblazers the Pixies in action. The band, sans Kim Deal, ripped through classics like Where Is My Mind and Here Comes Your Man, as well as new tracks like the recently released Bagboy. The Pixies were joined by endlessly energized jangle-rock band Parquet Courts. From the time the doors opened till the Pixies played their final note, both floors of the venue were packed like… well, like the Pixies and Parquet Courts were playing a show together.
