When your music festival is already one of the biggest in the country, where do you go from there? How do you expand? Here’s an idea: Stick it on a boat. This year marked the launch of the S.S. Coachella, a cruise ship that brought the spirit of the California concert to the seven seas—or at least those around the Bahamas and Jamaica. Photographer Adela Loconte climbed aboard for the Bahamas leg and documented performances by Pulp, Hot Chip, Grimes, Yeasayer, Sleigh Bells and James Murphy among others. Yes, it looked hot on that ship, but it was not hot enough to keep the onesies away.
