Last night, NYC’s Terminal 5 was packed to the gills with fanatic fans of UK new wave pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvers In The Dark, or OMD. Frontman Andy McCluskey had no other choice but to keep his demanding fans happy for every moment of the band’s set—and he did. Dancing, jumping and running around stage, McClusky broke a sweat while keyboardist Paul Humphreys stood back and casually provided the beat.
OMD was joined by Diamond Rings, a.k.a. John O., who, clad in all white, looked like some kind of third dimensional robot infiltrating Manhattan to spread his joyous, choppy synth notes. Our photographer Emily Korn was there to catch all the dance-pop bliss.
