It seems like Kraftwerk playing on April Fool’s Day would instantly inspire some kind of pun, but damned if we can find one, so deep into the excitement of a rare Kraftwerk show are we!
The groundbreaking, synth robot-man-gods from Dusseldorf, Germany, started the show pretty early. No opening act, no fooling around (ah, there we go). The United Palace Theater is one of the most beautiful venues in New York City, and perfectly epic for the incredible 3D-enhanced show Kraftwerk unveiled. Yes, they handed out 3-D glasses to every audience member. You could see words, musical notes and endless, eye-stretching graphics flying all around you. The stoic automatons played all their classics, such as Trans Europe Express, The Robots, Tour de France and more.
