Mercury Lounge has quite the history of fine indie rock and punk combos dirtying up the stage. But you usually don’t walk into that revered if intimate venue thinking you’ll see a gaggle of fine and shiny form-fitting lasses doing choreographed high-stepping to sparkly neo-disco. But that’s what Jessica 6 dished up for a packed crowd last night. DJ Eli Escobar revved up the evening’s beats as opener, and then Jessica 6 worked the small stage like they were doing Studio 54 in ’78. Or at least Terminal 5 in 2010.
