On Saturday night, The Global Poverty Project, in partnership with the Cotton On Foundation, hosted the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park. The massive event featured not just a pretty amazing, generation-spanning, all-star lineup, but 60,000 people cheering along on an utterly beautiful night. The event was organized to take action to end world poverty by 2030.
No doubt due to some security concerns, photographers were only allowed a few up-close shots. But our shutterbug, Adela Loconte, did her best to capture the epic proceedings. And despite the involvement of acts like Kings Of Leon, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, and world leaders like UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Loconte proclaimed, “Obviously Stevie Wonder was the best!”
