On the announcement of the September 23 release of their first new album in three years, Encyclopedia, surfy, jangly electro-poppers the Drums lifted a mix of their old and new tunes to, uh, new heights, as they played the Supernova Terrace on top of the Novotel in Times Square last night. It’s part of a fancy-shmancy series of shows put on by Times Square Arts, and it must be noted that for anything related to Times Square to end up being this freaking cool is a feat unto itself. The Drums’ set was pretty good too.
