NGHBRS started things off on a noisy note at Sullivan Hall on Friday, preparing the crowd for a night of raucous sound. And Sol Cat followed suit with their nimble gymnast pop. But up next, Maria Taylor took things down a few notches—not that anyone minded. Her mellow, melodic folk paved the way for the tambourine pop of Sheppard and the flannel garage sound of Austin’s Quiet Company.
