With a sound that could be described as equal parts Motown soul and NYC rock ‘n’ roll, the Postelles made itself heard at the Bowery Electric last night. Coming on late did not hinder the band’s performance in the small club on Bowery. The Postelles hit the stage with a fierce groove that got the attention of the entire room, with not a single person standing still even into the first song. The group played songs off the new self-titled album including “123 Stop” and “Stella,” as well as older songs that fans knew well.
