Yes I agree with everyone here this is a unique group with a unique sound Unbelievable talent Asli’s voice is mesmerizing and hypnotic at the same time, kudos for this Band I truly hope the world to see them and recognize this unique talent as we did here In Houston. Way to go The Tontons.

H-Town baby! I have dug the band from the word go. Musically they are rock solid, although I must admit I am smitten when they get a little rough. Asli belts, Adam shreds, Ngyuen is the glue and young buck Martinez pounds the skins like a madman!

The Tontons are one of the most riveting bands in the industry. What stellar and poetic use of voice and instrumentation coupled with a very stylized sense of movement from Asli Omar and the Martinez brothers bring their rock roots and firmly plant them in their guitar and drum tracks. Tom Nguyen’s bass and sense of style make this a Blade Runner experiment gone very right. Keep your light saber’s in their sheaths people, these Tontons have many ways to keep you warm and stimulated.

Glad to see one Houston’s hot acts representing us up north and to the rest of the world. You must see them live. It’s just plain fun and a communal experience. I saw the Tontons rock the Rice Spring Show last year – very cool and exciting. When people here say their show is mesmerizing it’s no joke. The Tontons totally put the bell on the cat.

I can’t describe how happy I am to see this. Been wearing out my copy of
their Golden EP and I know many others who’ve been doing the same. The
Tontons are an amazing group of people with endless amounts of talent
and they deserve everything they’ve got coming their way. Props to CMJ
