I’ve
watched, and more importantly – heard – Der Spazm over the last four years
evolve into a force to be reckoned with on the Sacramento music scene!
Excellent musicianship, originality, and enough flexibility and tight groove
among the members to catapult them light years beyond safe orbit into
unchartered territory; to a dissonant universe where not just anyone can play. Granted – if you listen closely – you can hear
the influence of Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Ume – and the list goes on, because Der
Spazm digests the primordial soup of punkadelic fusion and spits it out with unapologetic
glee. And their “Thousand Days” EP is an auditory gem with layers of cacophonous
gooey goodness! Keep the ear candy coming! Kudos to the band for your integrity,
and for keeping the faith and your fans mystified and satisfied. Many thanks, to CMJ, for spreading the gospel
according to Der Spazm. May their flock forever multiply!
