Literally a Chinatown garage, it has maintained a diverse ecosystem of bands from across North America, everyone from Day-Glo Abortions to Hooded Fang. Filled with life-size murals of badgers and dirt bags (courtesy of Stefi Murphy).
Academy Of Sciences
A fully realized DIY loft space that will be shutting its doors at the end of 2011. The emphasis is on the quality, not the quantity, of shows, making each event a true labor of love. Oh yeah, by the end of the night, something is usually set on fire.
Double Double Land
Great parties, lovely curtains and awesome DJs. Not just a music zone as a lot of art/film/theatre events go down at Double Double. Hut wrote a great homage to the place called “Droppers.”
