In Scene Report, musicians from all over the globe fill us in on what’s going on sonically in their hometowns. This week, Inch Chua, who performs as iNCH., gives us the scoop on Singapore. iNCH’s album, Bumfuzzle, will be released on August 27.

The Singapore music scene has been steadily growing with vibrancy, and is constantly evolving with current trends. Unlike other Asian countries, Singapore is unique in that, as a port city, our country is shaped by the healthy dose of European and American culture imported to our shores. In recent years, several local musicians (including myself), have been releasing music internationally and traveling overseas to export our blend of music and culture. Although our nation is often viewed as being a leading medical, finance and business hub with a strict governance, Singapore’s subculture scene is alive and kicking with a tightly knitted music community.
