Mexico City has a very bustling music scene. There is always something to see—on any given weekend there could be 30 or 40 live shows of all genres, and people in Mexico City love to go out and see music. There are two alternative radio stations in Mexico City that are very supportive of new music and play local unsigned bands, so new music is always really accessible. Recently there has been a trend of several talented and amazing young singer/songwriter women from Mexico City receiving broader attention, which is great.
