In Scene Report, musicians from all over the globe fill us in on what’s going on sonically in their hometowns. This week Boris’ Atsuo gives the scoop on Japan.

Boris doesn’t belong to a particular scene or have a specific home ground. However, we are Japanese and certainly have a background that reflects Japanese culture. Whenever Boris tours the world we recognize that very few people outside of Japan are informed of what is actually going on here currently. The language barrier is a major factor between Japanese and non-Japanese, which makes everything difficult.
