In Scene Report, musicians from all over the globe fill us in on what’s going on sonically in their hometowns. This week Coco from Quadron gives the scoop on Copenhagen, Denmark.

Denmark is a very small country. But despite our small population and size, I do think it is very ahead in many ways (soul music is unfortunately not one of them). Many of you who are familiar with Quadron, Boom Clap Bachelors and Owusu And Hannibal might think that Denmark is filled up with soul music. That is not the truth. We do have some great R&B/dance artists in DK who are doing really good now, since R&B got popular again. But the music scene in Denmark is mainly rock, indie rock and electronic. The biggest names in Denmark are usually rock bands. Denmark has always been very influenced by America in every way, so the artists who are big in the States are also big in Denmark.
