Claudio Puntin, Max Loderbauer and Samuel Rohrer

In Scene Report, musicians from all over the globe fill us in on what’s going on sonically in their hometowns. This week, instrumentalists Claudio Puntin, Max Loderbauer and Samuel Rohrer give us the scoop on Berlin, Germany. Their recent LP, Ambiq, is out now via Arjunamusic.

Berlin is definitely a rich place in a cultural sense. You can find here anything you want and still it offers you enough space to pull back and find silence to work on your ideas. Long winters make everyone longing for the short but very intense summer. From one day to the next, everything pops out and all happens outside in parks and streets during a couple of weeks, just before days get short and cold again. It’s versatile, short living and fast moving. Very inspiring for short visits or a long-term stay. If you hate it you stay. Maybe forever. There is some attraction in the ugly beauty and brings the most interesting people together. If you leave, you come back for sure. And you will be happy to be back. You find all kinds of different music scenes, and all of them have a great audience. Musicians from all over as well as the audience are open-minded and curious about what comes next.
