Welcome to Oxford Street of Darlinghurst, here you’ll find housing commission junkies and nocturnal crossgender partygoers, young artists and designers, aspiring writers and filmies, the stones and the fabulous all together in a single artery. I should mention the music. Word is: trash, dance-pop and folky hipsters. Rule No. 1: Don’t stare, it’s rude. The local model chicks look amazing and they’re very friendly but vile. Everybody here is a self-defined genius so let’s raise a glass to living in the First World, so goes our Rule No. 2: Whatever they say, whatever they do, “darling it hurts.”
