Tattooed Moose only has bands on Tuesday nights, but it’s still one of the best places in Charleston. It’s right outside of downtown, the food is good, and the kitchen stays open till 1 a.m. Awesome and friendly staff.

Tin Roof

Tin Roof is without argument the best music venue in Charleston. At 150-capacity, Tin Roof has remained open and continued to support the local music community while many other small venues in town have closed. Tin Roof is home for many local musicians, and the owners/staff treat you like family. Also, the sound engineers are excellent.

Communications Museum

Communications Museum CharlestonThe Communications Museum is part of the College Of Charleston and is right in the center of downtown. It is filled with all sorts of old telephones, televisions, radios, and they have a huge vinyl collection. The manager of the museum, Rick, is super open-minded and will book pretty much anything. The only DIY space in town, the shows are free and open for all ages, so no drinking, and shows are only during the week.
