UPDATE: The submission deadline has been extended to July 23! Submit now!

The International Radio Festival (IRF), a four-day radio fest that highlights the best DJs and radio communities from across the globe, is searching for the top talent among college radio DJs. And the DJ with the mutton-est of all chops will win a trip to Zurich, Switzerland, to present his or her show at the 2013 IRF!

How do you enter? The competition is simple: just upload your show onto Mixcloud (and follow all the directions listed here). You must be a DJ at a college or university station in the U.S. or Canada to participate. A panel of experts will judge entrants on factors including (but not limited to) number of plays, favorites, positive feedback, personal style, track selection, originality, and technical ability. The contest closes on July 10 July 23, so go enter now!

This is the IRF’s second annual contest of its kind. Last year the IRF, in conjuction with CMJ and iBiquity, hosted a similar contest, for which the winner, Angie Szani, host of “Type A” on WSOU, was awarded with a trip to Midem in Cannes, France, where she had the opportunity to hob-nob with the who’s-who of the music industry.

“The inclusion of emerging talent is a key value of the International Radio Festival and the USA/Canada College Radio Jockey Competition is the centerpiece of our commitment to nurture future leaders in the international radio industry,” said Darryl von Daniken, Co-Founder of the International Radio Festival.

The IRF takes place in September 4-8 in Zurich.
