Battle Of The Bands Wrap-Up Jessie Diamond & the Thousand took home top honors at Sunday's Five-Borough Battle of the Bands. Fronted by a shimmying blonde singer (who spent the day gamely dancing along to all the other bands, impervious to Grand Army Plaza's withering heat), their scuzzy, bombastic glam rock proved irresistible to both the judges and the crowd. First runner-up was Paul Brill, a singer-songwriter who set his lyrics to wheezing, chug-a-lug orchestrations. Second runner-up were Faith, who turned in a reggae-tinged set with haunting vocals.

All three finalists will receive automatic slots in this year's Music Marathon.
